This lovingly restored boutique B & B is a treasure. The rooms are meticulously restored to their original Victorian splendour and are immaculately clean. The location is only a two minute walk from Shadwell station and is very central for all London attractions. I had a fantastic nights sleep in this lovely home that Julian shares along with a very... Simply gorgeous. Clean, charming and quirky. Rooms were spacious and en-suite bathroom was lush. Really enjoyed my 2 night stay here when visiting an expo at ExCel. Breakfast was lovely too and Julian the host was friendly and helpful. It was nice to spend time on the roof top terrace though a little cold in Feb!

First impressions of Cable Street Inn are not too good. The property has no sign to indicate its a bed and breakfast, there was a dustbin parked outside what appeared to be the front door and we formed the view that the establishment may have closed down. However, once we had found our way to the front door we were... More

What a gem this small B&B is. Charming and quiet, just off the DLR line a quick ride from the city to the west and from ExCeL to the east. Julian Cole has put great love and care into his converted pub with comfortable, spacious rooms and a welcoming environment for the business or leisure traveler. Hypnos beds are ridiculously... More

Slept like a log, loved the room, the breakfast selection and the helpful service. Would definitely stay again. The only slight niggle was the wifi seemed intermittent, but that might have been me. Julian was super helpful and made us feel immediately at home.

Great place to stay. Very roomy and it felt like home. Julian was a very charming host. Will return again. Good location. Close to Shadwell station. I recommend taking the DLR down to the Prospect of Whitby which is a pub with good food.

The cable street inn is a true cosy place, fine location, esay to reach with the public transportation. This place was once a pub. This part of the east end, close to the docks and the Tower of London is nice ot discover.

This old London pub is an understated building that's easy to miss, just the shortest of distances from Shadwell DLR and rail stations. Nice, friendly, relaxed welcome and introduction to a lovely bedroom with generous bathroom. Room 3 is on the 2nd floor at the front of the building, above the shared dining room (with its complementary hot beverages and... More

We were looking for somewhere comfortable and quirky and this certainly fitted the bill. Having such a friendly and laid-back host was also a big plus, happy to share lots of really useful local knowledge. Our room (top floor) was very well appointed with an excellent bathroom with roll-top bath as well as walk-in shower. Not just a hair-dryer but... More
