The location is great, staff is very friendly. Taking the Tube to most of London's sights and back is really convenient and since we are going to Paris after London, the St Pancras International station is only a couple minutes walk away. Amneties are also convenient with bars, restaurants and grocery store a minute walk away. Price might be a... More

The two positives were the location - right near Kings Cross station and friendly reception staff, but those didn't make up for a downright smelly, unclean room. We did not get the room requested. We ended up in Room 8 which stinks of urine, even though it looks like the hotel was updated relatively recently. We could feel the tube... More

All facilities seemed very small but adequate if you are going to be mainly 'out and about'. Basic furnishings are a bit shoddy, and lots of dust under the beds although quite clean otherwise. However the reception staff were VERY friendly and helpful. Overall excellent value for money. Some people seem to expect 3-star facilities at any price! More

I believe the Central Hotel, Fairway Hotel etc. are all affiliated in Argyle Street as it is a kind of "allocation on arrival" type scenario. The location of the hotel is ideal, 200m from Kings Cross but of course you a over a tube so can hear them unless you are a heavy sleeper or take ear plugs. The staff... More

We arrived quite early from Birmingham but we went straight to the hotel to see if they can keep our luggage while we head to central London before checking in later that evening, thankfully they can! Saved us from paying a bomb to the luggage keeping service. Check-in was a breeze, booked 2 rooms online and was given 1 on... More

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from King's Cross tube station which is an ideal start to get around London. The hotel has a hostel vibe with lots of people milling around. The reception staff were all really helpful. Our room, no. 25, was compact but had everything we needed for a two night stay. The room was en... More

Booked this hotel with a friend for one night to go and see a gig. Hotel was very clean (newly refurbished - you could smell the new paint and the new wooden floor was lovely!) - door wouldn't close properly initially but they had it sorted out in a few minutes. Had own key for outside door so could come... More

This B&B provides good value for money. The location is excellent, just opposite St Pancras International/Eurostar. Rooms are clean, although a bit small (the beds were also a bit 'tight'). Breakfast could be much better. However, given the location, it's a good deal. Staff are also very helpful. More

Being just a stone's throw away from King's Cross/St Pancras, the Central Hotel certainly can't be faulted on location. Those who come into London through Euston will also find that this hotel is only a five or so minute walk from there (perhaps a tad longer with a suitcase). The welcome was friendly enough and in terms of location the... More

As convenience goes, this is a fabulous little overnight stop if planning an early morning EuroStar departure - and this is what brought me to this hotel in the first place. Having pre-booked via LateRooms.com (dead easy(!) I arrived quite late at night and the reception area, small though it was, buzzed with activity. This included someone who, from his... More
