So, the Swinton hotel is OK for a "budget" hotel. Keep in mind budget still means expensive in London. We paid £84 for 1 room for 2 people just for the night as we were attending a concert. The hotel was easy to find from Kings Cross station and easy to access. First impressions were good. The guy at reception... More

Stayed here for one night in April, picked it because it was close to Kings Cross and cheap. About 5 mins walk from the station, arrived about 6pm on a Saturday night. Receptionist was Ok, checked me in in a couple of minutes. The room was a single, very small with a tiny shower room, but it was clean which... More

Dodgy. Guest are obligated to leave key. Don't leave valuables in rooms as you might find your door OPEN as we did, mixed reasons as to why it was open. Very arrogant receptionist/concierge. Petty excuse for a continental breakfast. Noisy rooms if you're staying on the road side, 2 windows didn't do anything. PICTURE looks nothing like what you actually... More

Very clean, good price, good food. Room was excellent considering 3 people in it. Room opened out onto a garden area. Excellent Value for £50 per head. More

I stayed two nights in this hotel. I was a little bit afraid after reading some comments about this hotel. It's true that the room was very small and very plain, and that it was really very noisy. However my room and bathroom were clean, and there was towels, soap, shampoo, a hairdryer, tea and biscuits... And it is well... More

For £70 a night this is a really good find for 5 mins from Kings Cross station. The room was not huge, but not problem small, everything was clean and a few small pack of biscuits is always appreciated. No complaints and the best of several hotels I have tried in this area. More

Myself and a few of the boys stayed here, we were expecting something from the film Hostel but were pretty surprised. It wasn’t the Taj Mahal but no one was expecting that. Place was clean enough, had a nice kettle, few bickies, towels and stuff were changed even though we were only there for two nights. Hardly a place to... More

So we booked this "hotel" without really looking into more details and trusting their website pictures... What a mistake! We arrived late and when we came to our room we did not know what to do - everything, from smell to the sheets was so disgusting! After checking the sheets closely we found spots of blood on them! It seemed... More

Clean, basic rooms for close to budget price. Location a little further from Kings ross than other budget hotels in the area. Breakfast was very basic, only cold croissant and some toasts but the coffee was excellent. If it was £20 cheaper it would be great. More

The hotel is situated on the one way system around kings cross just after a set of traffic lights, i was staying in one of the rooms at the front of the hotel, between the window not closing property and the single glazing , all i heard all...
