Myself and three friends where in London for one night attending a Cup Final. Our requirement was a cheap base for few hours sleep. I chose the Royal Scot firstly as the room rate was reasonable and secondly out of curiosity as another friend had told me about the place. Well, it didn't disappoint! It really was a run down... This is fairly well positioned, being about 10 minutes' walk from Kings Cross/St Pancras stations. Anyone who gets uncomfortable the moment they stray from the tourist trail might not like the area, but I thought it seemed quite safe, unthreatening and a short stroll from the the interesting and stylish areas of Clerkenwell and Farringdon. The hotel is large and... More

We stayed overnight at this Travelodge and this hotel gives the chain a bad name. The hotel itself I thought was very dirty. The room was tiny and the bed very uncomfortable. We paid for breakfast, and the value for money was shocking. Everthing was cold and the orange juice even ran out! I've stayed at many Travelodges before, all... More

I recently had the misfortune of staying in this hotel whilst in London on business. Long before you get to the hotel you start to realise that this part of London is not on the top of the tourist hot spots. As the hotel came into vison so did a shop opposite selling latex outfits, for the more open minded... More

I was a bit wary having read some of the reviews. I stayed here on a last minute overnight in London with my son. The room was clean, the bed was comfy and at a reasonable temperature - usually find these places too hot. The noise level was fine and we had a good night's sleep, which is unusual for... More

The hotel was very busy with people using King's Cross station but was a little bit of a walk particularly if you've got lots of luggage to carry. The area was a little rundown as was the hotel and our room, refurbishment required. Didn't have to deal with staff much and didn't eat there. Out the front door, turn left... More

My fiancé and I stayed for 2 nights this weekend. A plus about this hotel is the proximity to Kings Cross. At only 5-10 minutes walk, it is positioned well. However, things start to go downhill as soon as you come into view of the hotel. It would be generous to call it 'grotty looking'! We checked in and soon... More

Have just returned from overnight stay at Royal Scot Travel Lodge in Kings Cross. Was part of a party of 34 who had booked 20 rooms for one night. Anticipated problems with booking in for such a large number but this went smoothly. Be prepared for a long walk to your room if you are at the back of the... More

This travel lodge is very large size, I have stayed here twice and have booked for the summer. They are giving the rooms a re fit. The first time I used this travel lodge we had an old room. The next time I had a new room on the first floor. The night I stayed they had a college using... More
