I stayed with two friends at Apollo Hotel in April 2012. I have generally low standards for hotels (as long as they're clean) so I was very pleased with our stay. After reading the other reviews for this hotel, I thought I should emphasize the following points: Good Things 1. Location -- If you're taking a train to/from St. Pancras... More

I chose this hotel in view of its excellent position: 5 minutes walking from the very central King's Cross tube station. The building is a multi-storey old victorian house that has not been refurbished for a long, long time. The blue carpeting around the house looks very dirty. Our room was in the basement: very basic, there was no wardrobe... More

We stayed four days pre and post Eurostar travel, St Pancras being just accross the road. We were delighted with the hotel, considering the very reasonable tarrif charged. Rooms we had were good, enough room for my wife, myself and our suitcases and with space to spare. The en-suite was as good as any other we've experienced. What more could... More

I booked this bed and breakfast through booking.com. We are a family of 5 with adult children, so we stayed in 3 rooms. This is my first bed and breakfast and I think it's okay. Maybe more on the good side okay. I'll start with what I liked. The location is perfect! It's literally a stone's throw from King's Cross... More

This place is an absolute dive. Firstly, they lied about the wi-fi. It clearly states on most travel websites that this hotel has free wifi, which, when I enquired, it did not. The room size was also ridiculous, not to mention cramped. The lift is barely noticable, and from many other reviews I have read, most visitors could not even... More

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights. We got in fron Scotland around 8am, got to the hotel at 11am but found out that check in was only at 2pm. We decided to leave our bags and go into the city. when we got back and took our key, we realised that they had upgraded out room to an... More

Stayed in a twin room with ensuite. Room was small but clean, and the beds firm but not uncomfortable. Double glazing kept traffic noise to a minimum. We were on the top floor - there are 50 steps to get up from the entry level, 65 from the dining room, so tricky for the less able bodied. Bathroom was very... More

We used this hotal as an overnight stop over for Eurostar for which the location is ideal. The reception was friendly and helpfull and seems to double as a living room! We were on the top floor with 3 flights of stairs which would prove difficult for anybody less mobile. The room was tiny, with a 3/4 double bed and... More

Nothing fancy but then it doesn't pretend to be. Stayed here when i went to a gig in Highbury and although the room was small and right at the top of the building it was spotlessly clean and tidy and very comfortable. Breakfast the next day was plentiful and tasty (choice of full english or continental) and the staff were... More

Apollo Hotel is a B&B in my own category. The whole stretch of Argyle St is full of B&Bs. It is simple, basic, but it meets the simple needs of London tourists who will not spend so long time in their rooms when in the city. The staff are friendly and helpful. Two choices for breakfast: full English and continental.... More
