stayed at the the Maids Head 5th to 7th May - to celebrate my birthday.
reception staff couldnt have been more helpful, room lovely, breakfast very good with great variety, position of the hotel brilliant for getting into the city on foot - surrounded by good restaurants and places to get a drink.
thoroughly recommend to anyone.

we stayed in one of the suite and it was lovely, with wooden beams and a massive four poster bed.
The room was a good size and overlooked the cathedral.
There was some noise from the hotel corridors and outside but it was easily ignored.
We didn't eat in the hotel because there are so many cafe's and restaurants around...

We had our lunch in the main restaurant and I personally ordered their vegetarian option. Needless to say the food wasn't cooked properly, the portion was extremely small for the price and I found the atmosphere quite gloomy and cold.
