I stayed at the Hilton York recently and was pleasantly surprised. I had thought that given the price the hotel would be pretty basic but the rooms were big, clean and comfortable but the best part was breakfast. Great choice and a very friendly lady chef offering fresh fried, poached eggs or omelettes. I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel is located very close to the city centre and railway stations. There is a restaurant on site with bar available late. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The staff are professional and courteous. There is no gym or leisure facilities and no air-conditioning which lets the hotel down.

Superior service throughout. Rooms a little small. Executive suites on front of hotel noisy & small and probably not worth it. Rooms in the rear are quiet. Excellent breakfast selection and service. Excellent dinner service.

I stayed at the York Hilton on business in May 2013. I totally recommend this Hilton- great views of the Tower and nice, clean rooms. Good quality breakfast and helpful staff. The only downside is internet access is £14.99!

Well located comfortable hotel. This was our second stay. Would recommend to anyone visting York. On site car park £17.00 fo 24 hours but worthwhile as all attractions are within walking distance of the hotel.We had a room overlooking Cliffords Tower. It was a little noisy wit the window open but otherwise clean and comfortable.
