Just returned from a weekend break at Lady Anne's with my parents (dad a wheelchair user). Had two deluxe ground floor rooms with a disabled wet room bathroom for dad - ideal for his needs. This hotel is in a prime location near the river in the centre of York and yet is still very quiet. The gardens are pretty. The staff are exceptionally helpful. The rooms are a little old fashioned and tired but that is a minor matter.

The hotel was ideally situated for a short break to York with a central location and free car park which is a big plus for the city as a lot of the other hotels charge up to £10 per day. I stayed here for one night visiting York with with my sister who was over from Canada. We really enjoyed our stay, the staff were very friendly and helpful, allowing us to leave our cases before and after check out and advising on trips/attractions. The rooms were spaceious and very clean. The food was good and setting/location very nice.
