We have just returned from a weekend spent in York staying at the Bronte. The location couldn't be better, there was even a view of the Minster from our room. It was very quiet and peaceful and the room was spotless. The couple who own it were incredibly helpful and nothing was too much trouble. The breakfast was lovely and... More

We decided to go to York for a nice weekend break to escape over Easter. The couple who own Bronte were incredibly accommodating, as we had taken an early train we were there long before usual check-in, but, with notice given, they had already sorted out our room before we got there and provided a warm welcome. A lot of effort is put into running the Bronte and it pays off, the place is well presented with no corner cutting. The breakfast is quality products, generous portions and all tastes catered for. The towels and bed linen are a touch of luxury, nice touch shampoo etc, as are biscuits to go with tea/coffee facilities. The location is... More

We visited York in late November, when booking I didnt realise it was the famous St Nicholas market weekend which meant most places where fully booked. I rang the Bronte and they managed to squeeze us into their small room. Their small room though was perfectly fine, quiet and clean. The breakfast where delightful and Mick saw too any of... More

'When we arrived Mick made us feel very welcome, the room was spotlessly clean, the 'bronte breakfast' was delicious what more can you ask for? The location was excellent only a 5-10 minute walk to the centre!! Would definitely return and recommend. Thank you for making our first visit to York unforgettable :-) ' More

When I arrived at Bronte Guesthouse, we were greeted by Mick. He really made our stay enjoyable, a wonderful host and very hospitable. The rooms were beautiful - lovely and spacious and the dining area was well laid out. Great advice on where to go in York is avaliable and I would happily go back. Thank you Mick! More
