This is a small Travelodge on the outskirts of the city centre and reasonably priced for this busy tourist hotspot. Check in was easy although the desk isn't manned the whole time. The room was rather dark and a bright central light doesn't seem to be fashionable these days. The tv worked fine and the room and bathroom were nice... More

I spend there one night. I knocked to the hotel doors at 1.20 am after very, very long day. No problems with parking (a big plus). Personnel was extremely friendly. I took last room for 57 pounds. Normally would consider this as quite expensive for this kind of hotel. Room was clean, spacious (double bed) and warm. If you need... More

Stayed here on the 13th February as me and my partner were celebrating our two yrs together. We were a bit worried that it would not be that nice as it is very dated outside. But when we walked in we were greated by the friendliest staff ever at a travelodge and when we got into the room we found... More

We stayed at this hotel to visit York St John University. It had the better write up of the Travelodges in and around York. It was comfortable and warm with very large rooms - although they did look like something was missing out of them, could easily accommodate a third bed if needed - probably what was missing. The rooms... More

This turned out to be a first-class Travelodge. The standard of house-keeping in the massive room I occupied was highly commendable. Parking arrangements are plentiful and sufficient. Through-access to the Sizzlers pub was convenient and the pub offered a good array of ales (try the Yorkie Ale - seriously good pint). It proved an excellent base for an overnight stay,... More

Where to start, we got a great deal on this hotel and stopped for 3 night at £12 a night! Absolute bargain!! The hotel is about 1.5 miles from the centre which we walked every time we went into York took about 30 min we never used the car once whilst there which was a great bonus. The travelodge is... More

This was booked at a very low price so can't really complain. The rooms are very, very basic and suface clean. The bed however was one of the most uncomfortable beds I have ever slept in. The hotel is not within walking distance of the city centre but only a short drive. Overall you get what you pay for. More

This travelodge lodge has only recently been taken over by the company, previously it was an InnKeepers lodge so some parts have been updated recently. On arrival it is very easy to find, in the dark on a busy road I was expecting problems but if you just look out for the sizzling pub sign of the Black Bull pub,... More

It's a straight flat 20 minute walk to the centre of York though you can catch the bus. This travleodge is no different from many others that I've been to though I like the fact you can walk straight through to the Black Bull (Sizzlers Pub) - so no coats needed. It's a straight, flat, 20 minute walk to the... More

We stayed at the Travelodge, Hull Road for a family reunion - it is in a lovely location - there is a park and ride down the road where you can get a bus into town. It has a very busy sizzler restaurant next door - you can get breakfast or a really nice meal when you get back. The... More
