I visited Slaley Hall for the first time today with some friends. We meet regularly and enjoy a spa day every few months, so we had been looking forward to today which we had used Groupon vouchers for. From arrival the spa was disappointing. The spa facilities are small and dated, rails rusty, floors uneven, only a few loungers or chairs... More

Our stay at Slaley Hall was exactly as we hoped it would be. We had a lovely large and comfortable room with a fantastic view over the golf course. We stayed for dinner both nights and the food was great, although the menu was the same and would have been nicer to have changed each day. Breakfast was good with... More

I visited Slayley hall for a spa day of pampering with 2 of my friends, we were really looking froward to it, I have to say we were very disappointed, the pool area was dirty and dark, the water was cold, we counted 10 sunbeds round the pool, this is meant to be a 4 star spa, there was at... More

I booked a Spa day for my wife and her mum, whilst I was playing Golf, whilst the Golf was excellent including a £10 voucher to play again, the girls had only bad words to comment on the Spa. The pool, was out of action on the day they visited and the whole spa was grubby and small not at... More

We arrived at Slaley Hall on Tuesday 8th of May which was a birthday gift from my wife, bed, breakfast, evening meal and a bottle of wine, plus we had arranged a game of golf on the Hunting course for the Wednesday morning. When we arrived we booked into our room - which had a golf course view - and found it... More

My family and I stayed here to celebrate my brother's 21st birthday as recommended by an associate of my Mother's as one of the best places to stay in Northumbria. Arrival and check-in was fine and went without a hitch. The communal areas upstairs feel decadent and reminiscent of the country house hotel we expected. From there it quickly went... More

loved Slaley Hall, the surroundings were amazing to wake up to - i attended a conference there and it was well worth the 2hr journey from home, conference facilities were great but this is an amazing place to go for a weekend break. Golf courses for the men, spa for the women... Bedrooms are great, spacious, flat screen tv, ipod... More

My parents, my husband, and I stayed at one of the lodges for a weekend. The lodge was wonderful, the area was wonderful too. The spa was very nice. The bar area was very friendly, warm, and light. Food was very tasty. The restaurant was very nice. My food was very good indeed. I would go again anytime. More

My husband and I went with another couple for a relaxing week-end of Eating, Drinking & Golf & Spa. Rooms were clean and there were plenty of places to eat and drink. The boys enjoyed the Golf but our Spa experience was not great. The hotel was trying to cater for both families and spa guests which meant there was... More
