We stayed for one night in a very comfortable room, were welcomed warmly and our hosts very kindly drove us to the nearest pub for supper. Breakfast was also excellent. I can only recommend a stay if you are visiting this beautiful area. More

Good location to explore Hadrian's wall and other attractions. Comfortable room, clean and tidy. Breakfast good. Hosts Angela and Mike really helpful on what to see and where to eat. It is on the main road but we didn't hear any road noise. It's a shame that next year it will be adults only. More

We stayed at Strand Cottage just one night. Our room was upstairs and fairly small and our friends larger room was in the ajacent cottage towards the rear of the house. Both were comfortable rooms. We stayed for two nights as we did a quick exploration of the sites along Hadrians wall. It was a relaxing and comfortable place to stay. Angela and her husband were helpful with advice on what not to miss and had good advice on places to eat nearby. Breakfast was as we prefered and was fine. Beautiful scenery all around... More
