This is a great hotel with fabulous service ! We stayed in room 29 which was very small but comfortable with a bath and great freeview tv ! But what makes this hotel are the terraces, the fire and the food ! Dinner was excellent and breakfast has a great selection of bread cold meats and fresh fruit plus a... More

This is a sweet hotel, efficient staff and comfortable for a night, just off St.Giles so easy walking distance to the best of Oxford. Avoid room 9 if you can, it's tiny. I was on my own, would be very challenging for two...

Booked for dinner and did not stay there. Tables far too close to each other so could hear and be heard in very close proximity to other diners. Tiny portions. As it is a hotel it lacked the atmosphere that a restaurant would have. 2 of us, 2 courses + shared pudding, 2 glasses of wine, water and 1 cup... More

My wife and I, as part of a larger party, stayed at the Old Parsonage for two nights and as experienced international travellers for decades, were very impressed with this hotel. Particularly impressive were the staff who were friendly and efficient and this coupled with the location and the facilities and dining, made for a great stay. The rooms were... More

The Old Parsonage dates from 1660 and is a superb boutique hotel. The rooms are beautifully decorated and prepared: if you can manage a suite (and there are very good offers indeed), then you will be in heaven. The Old Parsonage is splendidly placed to walk on foot around the heart of the City and the University of Oxford. One... More

I took my six year old granddaughter to tea on 2/06/13 having phoned up to book table and mentioning that it was special as she had achieved a goal set. By her Mother, and It Was Duly Noted In The Booking. Arrived No Special Attention, Shown Table Ordered The High Tea, Waited Over 20mins Then Tea Arrived And A Rather... More

The Old Parsonage could not be in a more charming wisteria-clad building dating from the 1700s. Do not, however, accept a booking in room #1 which is on the ground-floor literally inches away from the car park. Additionally, the room smelled very musty, the bathroom was without heat and we were woken at 0800 by construction noise from the unit... More

Lovely hotel, not in the city centre but close enough to walk in. "Cosy" is a good word to sum up this hotel. We paid for the larger room, glad we did as it still wasn't very big. The hotel bar and restaurant are also not very big, but busy for afternoon tea over the bank holiday weekend. Much quieter... More

Just returned from a one night stay at this hotel. The plus points - the staff are very helpful and professional, we felt well looked after. The bedding is also really comfortable and the patio at the front is a pleasant place to have lunch or breakfast. The food was good too. The car parking situation however is not good... More

I've stayed in few hotels that provide French press (cafetiere) coffee in the room so this was a welcome surprise. Other delights: manicures and massages in the room - you've got to love it when the spa comes to you!! Staff was polite and helpful and the location was convenient to the shopping streets and main museums. I would stay... More
