We stayed here for a couple of nights. First night was great with no noise and had a good sleep as the bed is comfy enough. However, the second night people were in the room next to us and would not stop banging around. It was like everything they did we could hear. They were also up at half 6... More

Stayed for one night last weekend. Great location, we were visiting our son at Brookes We had a double, front facing room (overlooking the car park) the room was clean and tidy, tea/coffee making facilities Had a bit of traffic noise late night - but free parking - a major plus in Oxford We had an en-suite shower room with... Stayed here over a weekend and had chosen the location as I was visiting friends in Headington. The location really is good, very easy to get to from the airports on the coaches and also an easy base to get into Oxford city centre as there is a bus stop nearly opposite the b&b. However, the room I was staying... More

I picked up this B&B from TripAdvisor and was not that satisfied with the result. As a single person I did not expect my room to be so tiny and claustrophobic. It was clean but tired and well worn. Breakfast was quite good with a range of options, but the biggest plus of the house was its position to Oxford.... More

Pickwicks is not owner run. The owners hire different managers to take care of the house for what seems to be a week at a time. Therefore there is no local knowledge when you ask a question -- one of the nicest features of staying in an owner run B&B. The manager was a smoker which was very offputting. Having... More

I have stayed here twice withing the last 6 weeks as my daughter was receiving treatment at the nearby Nuffield Ortho Centre Hospital. Both times I was not disappointed, rooms were clean, comfortable and pleanty of space. Wardrobes had pleanty of hangers and the breakfast was very well cooked, with a good choice. On the day of my daughters operation... More

We booked 3 nights at Pickwicks over the phone because our son was in The heart centre at john Radcliffes for an operation it was a better location than we thought walkable to the hospital, a hungry horse pub 2 minutes away, bus stop opposite to go into the city centre , also a waitrose within walking distance to pick... Nothing Dickensian about this hotel, other than the name. Our room was a good size and the en suite facilites were also spacious. Sunnily decorated with comfortable beds. There is a convenient and frequent bus service into central Oxford, and the hotel is easily reached from the ring road. Good parade of shops nearby. The cooked breakfast is standard, but... More

Beautiful B&B with gorgeous garden. Excellent breakfast. Very clean and comfortable. Excellent value. I was in a single room and it was much larger than what I'm used to seeing in Britain. Free wi-fi was a much-used perk. Easy and frequent bus ride to city centre. I was attending an event at Oxford Brookes University, and would highly recommend this... More

Nothing special, just OK bed and breakfast. Arrived at 10 pm (as previously notified) and just given a key. The room was musty but the concierge had disappeared so we had to make the best of it. The road was very noisy all night, they could at least use blinds to deaden the sound. Breakfast was above average but I... More
