We spent two nights at the Duke of Marlborough and had two dinners there.
The staff were very friendly and the food was amazingly tasty.
But most of all the service was very friendly. We felt really welcome.

We usually avoid large outfits like this but when we dropped in for a look-see we were impressed by the welcome, the attention to detail, and the varied menu. Despite being nearly full, the service was excellent, the food was above average, and the beer in good condition. Highly recommended if you are passing, although the staff turnover at such places...

Waited over an hour for food despite booking in advance
Food was dire, service was worse..
NEVER go here..unless you like a beige roast and paying money to be ignored.
Also the loos were rank - needed a clean!

As someone that requires a Gluten-Free Diet, I always wonder where I might be able to find a meal...it turns out that this is the very place! This hotel is great. Check-in is...

We had a classis afternoon tea here today, it was faultless, freshly made sandwiches, homemade sones & jam, plus two slices of cake plus coffee. Everywhere was clean, the staff were really nice & nothing was to much trouble. Thanks folks.

We arrived in London, hired a car and drove NW looking for accommocation and came across the Duke Of Marlborough. It was exactly as we hoped UK pubs would be - great atmosphere, home made meals, cold beer, warm fireplace and staff who were helpful beyond belief. We will definitely staying again next year.

My wife and I stayed one night on 13th May. The room was very spacious and nicely decorated.
We had dinner in the pub in the evening and both the food and the hospitality were exceptional.
Thank you to Derek, the owner, for making my wife's birthday very special by taking time to join us and having a good chat....

An old pub, just outside Woodstock, with rooms attached, but with a really good menu to suit all tastes-the food was excellent. The landlord was friendly and helpful - we felt very welcome and wpuld reccommend a stay here - reasonably priced too unlike other places nearer the centre of Woodstock!
