What should I say about these wonderful people here? They are highly caring and loving. I stayed here for almost 15 days as I was searching for my house here in Sheffield and believe me it’s like my second home. Mr and Mrs Lenox helped me all the way to make me comfortable in the new city. I hardly sometime... More

A great find! Be prepared for very idiosyncratic rooms. If you want a bath, say so. A couple of the rooms have magnificent enamel baths. The Swedish room has a tiny, I mean really tiny, shower room and loo. More of a cupboard under the stairs, really - but decorated with the most exquisite tiles! The "Victorian Gentleman's Room" has... More

I stayed here recently to attend a conference in Endcliffe village, close to the university. The B&B was like a home away from home, with friendly owners, interesting artifacts, lovely fresh breakfasts, clean and tidy bedrooms with very comfy beds! The swedish room had great views over Sheffield city and was very quiet and relaxing. The B&B is very close... More

This unique up market B&B feels very much like a home from home, with comfortable, imaginative and colourful decor. There is a warm welcome waiting for you at this well run establishment, with a happy atmosphere prevailing throughout the house. We loved the Aga cooked breakfast with new laid eggs just gathered from the owners free range chickens. The house... More

Highly recommend. Wonderful ambience, personable hosts. Nice touches of quality - homemade jams, cloth napkins, freshly ground coffee. Quiet, relaxed, intimate. Fin de siecle room generously proportioned, great bathroom. Excellent value. Treat yourself.

Our son chose this place for us and it turned out that he understands our tastes better than we realised. It was a true home from home - warm, welcoming and comfortable. I loved the decor and the general ambience. The hosts were friendly, hospitable, helpful and generous. Being here really enhanced our stay in a cold, drizzly, November.

I have stayed at Hardwick House a couple of times time when working in Sheffield on business. Their website gives you a better indication of its unique character than a few words here could explain. Comfy bed, quiet location and a very friendly welcome. Breakfast is excellent. Excellent value.

We chose this place based on Trip Advisor reviews and were not disappointed. It is a real home from home for us and both the Victorian (us) and Fin du Siecle (our son) rooms were lovely (though I admit to "stealing" a shower in the Fin du Siecle as the Victorian only has a bath) with great views. Now we will... More

First, it is not right in the city centre - I suspect we'd have had difficulty finding Hardwick House without a car and sat-nav, or a very good map - and second, not everybody appreciates the virtues of a B&B like this. Otherwise we would never have been able to find a room here at late notice. So we should... More
