I stayed here on business for one night. The hotel looks lovely in the brochure and from the outside as you draw up. The reception area is quite nice and the bar area. The room was very tired looking, scuffed walls, paint chipped in the bathroom. The shower in the bathroom looked very old, although did work. I think to... More

I am forunate to be a Doctoral Candidate at the University of Sheffield because I get to live in a swanky hotel during my weekend conferences. Kenwood Hall is a fabulous expanse of green and clean. The hotel is located just a few minutes drive from Sheffield station. The rooms are deluxe and fitted with all the necessary amenities such... More

The hotel is set in lovely grounds (that the good news) but the hotel itslef is a little shabby and need of a refurb - think "shabby chic" but hold the "chic" - a lick of paint and new carpets would not go a miss. On the first morning the electric went off in our room (337). Of course at... More

Looking at the website it looked like a lovely place. The grounds look great but inside, worn out, grubby looking hotel, we had a family room that was the furthest room away! Horrible buzzing noise from the bathroom for most of the day & night. Leaky tap that looked like it had been twisted & put on wrong. Grubby handrail... More

We used this hotel as host for this year's charity car tour. 85 bedrooms and 80 plus car parking spaces. Very pleasant location with 12 acres grounds including a lake. Easy three mile drive out onto the moors of the Peak District. We used the Kenwood Suite for dinner both Friday (for a buffet) and Saturday for a Gala Dinner.... More

We stayed at Kenwood Hall this year in March whilst visiting family. It is a bit strange in the sense that the hotel has a very old part and then a new addition. We were fortunate enough to be staying in the original part. Our outlook was over the hotels acres of greenery. It was splendid. The newer part of... More

A poor experience. A tired hotel. I was expecting something special for £102 per night. I did not get it. But I did get an additional surcharge of £2.50 for using my credit card!! Breakfast was adequate but the public rooms dirty. The carpets and decor are very old and worn. No goodies in the room e.g. Tissues etc. The... More

We stayed at the end of March for 3 nights when the weather was hot.We had got a late deal through a Trip Advisor link - getting a junior suite for not much more than a standard room.We were early but the room was ready and there was no problem booking in.The room was some way from the lift but...
