Stayed in The Church Inn in early May during the time of the Spring fair. It's located in a perfect central position right on The Buttercross, but the nearest and best parking is in Galdeford, just a short walk away, which only costs around £2.50 all day. We arrived early, but were told that we couldn't access our room until... More

We were surprised by the large number if different pies on offer. They were of generous proportion and filled with delicious contents - all superbly presented. They also offer beer in thirds if a pint so that you can sample several different ones. A busy, friendly atmosphere completes the experience.

We stayed for a night at the Church Inn last weekend and really enjoyed the experience. We were booked into Room 8 which is one of the Family rooms on the top floor. The room is fairly small, (double bed, bunk beds, bathroom, balcony) but has everything we needed. The view out of the window is of Ludlow church and... More

6 of us stayed for 2 nights in February, and found the food was excellent, the beer was well kept and the staff very helpful, from helping to carry our bags up to the 2nd floor, to sorting out our very complicated bills.

I had one of the top floor rooms with a small balcony. Very good. Well equipped bathroom (electric shower but no-where is perfect). They have made a very good job of an old building. Breakfast room is spectacular. So - the beer is the best, great pies made themselves, location in the middle of the town. Fires Allows dogs No... More

Nice atmosphere in this pub - warm and cosy but still a lot of space. Nice set out. Wide range of real ales and drinks available which you can enjoy with a hearty pub meal at a reasonable price making this a fantastic place to visit whilst in Ludlow. I often stop at the Church and it never disapoints although... More

Visited here as a friend recommended it. Great food which is mainly locally sourced and a good selection of local ales. Made us feel welcome and is a dog friendly pub. Centrally located and well worth a visit if in town. Would definitely return to try the large selection of pies.

This was our second weekend away here, with different friends. We found the staff to be helpful and very friendly and the general atmosphere warm, welcoming and sociable. The range of beers, including many from local breweries, is wide and well-chosen and its condition excellent. The food was very good - although only 30% of the full range of pies... More

The Church has a nice cosy atmosphere with a warm inviting feel. Traditional pub grub is served throughout the day, the majority of which contains local produce. The ales on offer also change on a regular basis. Definitely worth a try.
