Villa Magdala has been recently refurbished and to a very high standard. The attention to detail in the rooms and public areas was obvious to see. We were warmly welcomed by all the staff - the rooms were well furnished in 'boutique' style and very comfortable. The breakfast offered a good choice of well prepared cooked English breakfast, breads and... More

I had read reviews of the Villa Magdala before booking and was impressed. It certainly lived up to its reputation. The staff and owners were friendly and helpful. Room was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was exceptional with lots of choice, which included a bucks fizz. On a practical level it is within a short walking distance of... More

I hadn't stayed at the Villa Magdala for over ten years. On returning, I found it having had a make-over without losing any of its charm. A really warm welcome greeted us and staff were warm and attentive throughout our stay. A beautiful spot - I can't imagine there's anywhere better to stay in Bath. More

The best place we stayed in our 18 day trip. If you want to know what it's like to be treated like the Lord of the Manor, stay here! The hands-on owners of this lovely guest house and their impeccably trained staff offer a service that is rarely found in most hotels. The breakfast is worth the stay in and... More

I chose this B&B based on: location - quiet, but 5 minutes walk to town centre, car park, high standard of accommodation shown on website. I'm pleased to say it lived up to all our expectations. We had a Better room, dual aspect, with views over trees in the garden and park opposite. The birdsong in the mornings was delightful... More

Our group of 4 stayed for one night in a "Good" and "Best" room. Both rooms were very elegant with comfortable bedding. Good room (room 2) was just by the entrance and noisy at times. Best room (18) was at least 60% larger and well worth the extra cost. Breakfast was amazing - far better selection than any other B&B... More

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are really proud of our breakfasts so good to know that you enjoyed it! Room 2 can be noisy but lots of guests like ti as it is on the ground floor - we have other ground floor rooms that are quieter though. Thanks again More

My wife booked us in to Villa Magdala for one night 08/05/12 and we couldn't have been more happy with the room, the people and the whole ambiance of the place. Attention to detail was excellent and we will definately be going back. The location is superb only a 5 minute walk to the centre of Bath. More

My wife and I stayed last weekend, arriving very wet and windswept but the warm welcome by Agnes with the offer of a cup of tea and a slice of cake set the scene for a lovely stay. We stayed in a 'good' room (excellent by other standards) - decor was fresh and light, bed was lovely, ensuite was immaculately... More

Chocolates? What chocolates? The culprit was either Agnes or Billy! No, only joking - what a lovely kind gesture of you - we all enjoyed them with our morning coffee! Come again soon! More

An outstanding 5 star experience in a 5 star city. Set in a perfect location opposite a park and 5 minutes to city centre. Breakfast, service, rooms and decor were perfect. A must for visitors to Bath to complete the perfect stay. Cosy guest house but with all the trimmings. No pool but who needs a pool in Bath, go... More
