We spent 3 nights at this place over a weekend and were most impressed by the size of the room, the proximity to the town and its attractions and the helpfulness of the staff. Given the difficulty in parking in Bath it is a great location about a 10 minute walk to the centre of town. The staff were all lovely... More

My sisters and I have just spent a wonderful 3 nights at the Ayrlington. We occupied the 3 bedrooms on the top floor which had lovely views. I would say that it is a 5 star Bed and Breakfast rather than a 5 star hotel. The reception staff were welcoming, friendly and helpful at all times - so was Ling,... More

As experienced B & B users, we found The Ayrlington lacking in most areas that we consider difference-makers between B & Bs and Hotels. The Bed was comfortable and The Breakfast was good, but, other than the fine reception staff, all of the little things were missing. We never met the owner, there was zero interaction with the other guests,... More

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights in April. This was our 4th stay because this hotel WAS so good but we will not be back again. A long while ago it was, at best, a 4 star hotel but whoever put it up to 5 stars is having a laugh....at your expense. It is the niff-naff things... More

I stayed one night during a visit to Bath with my partner. The staff are very welcoming and friendly and offer recommendations where to visit/eat etc. However having stayed in various 5* hotels I do not consider this to be one. The hotel is very old fashioned and out dated and could do with a refurb. The room I stayed... More

My husband and I stayed at the Ayrlington over Easter for 3 nights, we were accommodated in the Chinese room in the ground floor. First off the Ayrlington is nice and easy to find and has the bonus of free parking - our reception was very welcoming and the lady who greeted us (Audrey) was very helpful in advising us... More

On arriving at The Ayrlington the first problem was a lack of parking. The next was that that there is no lift, so we had to climb four flights of stairs to get to our room and with a heavy suite case is not one that I would like to repeat. Room was a bit tired and could have done... More

This hotel is in a nice location, not too far away from the attractions. I couldn't always get WiFi in the hotel room but I didn't mind too much. The breakfast is cooked to your liking, the room was clean and the bath pristine. Great views of the city are available from the room on the top floor, of course... More

We took the train from London to Bath, and had some difficulties finding the hotel. We asked a couple of locals who did not recognize the name of the hotel, and could not help us based on the address. We wandered around for a bit, and literally stumbled upon it. The hotel is not as centrally located as i thought... More
