I can't really fault my stay at The Old Cannon Brewery. The room was very comfortable and there was generous supplies of coffee, tea etc. and biscuits. If I did have any gripe it would be only to say that some of the pub customers can be a little noisy when leaving at the end of a night's drinking but... More

My wife and I stayed for one night at The Old Cannon Brewery. The room was very good as was the en-suite. If there was a problem it was that people upstairs made a lot of noise walking around. The evening meal was fantastic, good selection of food and what we had was hot, tasty and well presented. A shame... More

Such a great stay at The Old Canon B & B - A Micro Brewery which offers first class food and top class accommodation. We stayed in Room 7 which was plenty big enough with every facilitiy that we needed. I was in Bury St Edmunds for a treatment at the hospital and the staff at the Old Cannon couldn't... More

Lovely little pub with good food and friendly staff, they brew their own ale so it was a great opportunity for my husband to try them out! We stayed in room 6 which was downstairs opposite the side entrance to the pub. The room was very comfortable, clean and had everything we needed and the shower was second to none!... More

Thanks for taking the time to give us a review. We've have a look at the cellar cooling issue and have fitted a timer so that it turns off at night and restarts in the morning. We will continue to review this over the summer (it's a balance between keeping rooms guests happy, and our beer in the best possible... More

I booked into the Old Cannon Brewery with 2 colleagues, as we were bored of the normal "big chain" hotel we stay in when visiting the area. Firstly, the positives - the staff are great, really friendly and seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs. The room, whilst very small (just enough room for a double bed and 6" space around... More

We are sorry to hear about the problems you had when you stayed with us. We've now fitted a timer onto the cellar cooler which shuts it off overnight. We also remind the staff and customers on a regular basis about being being quiet when they leave via the side door. Sorry, but I can't do much about the walls! More

Clean, confortable, good food, good beer and friendly staff. What more can you ask for. Some rooms might be a bit on the smal side for two. More

Very friendly inn with good food, service and excellent atmosphere. Bedroom small, basic and in need of an update. En-suite also very basic - shower cubicle in need of renovation and a broken window blind. Accommodation suffers, in our experience, from the commonest curse of pubs and inns, namely non-existent or minimal sound-proofing - you have to hope that fellow... More

The Old Cannon Brewery was a pleasant surprise and staff couldn't have been more helpful. After travelling through Europe laundry was an urgent priority and staff went out of their way to let us use their machines. The meals were fabulous, especially the steak and kidney ale pie, and breakfast (inclusive in the B&B price) was prompt and plentiful. Loved... More
