Stayed here for an overnight stop as we had to be in Bury St. Edmonds early the next day. The hotel has a very tired feel to it. We had dinner there and although there was no problem with the food itself, the table had a very sticky, greasy feel to it. We found the bed very uncomfortable and our... More

Stayed with work 1st May 2012. Had read several reviews and was thinking I was heading into a dive. This turned out not to be the case.... Check in was smooth. Rooms are ok. Clean and flat screen tv. Some reviewers have commented on the trouser press. It doesn't offend me having a press in the room. Bathroom was clean,... More

Stayed here overnight while visiting friends. The hotel is a fair size and room prices are fairly cheap. The bar in the hotel has a fair stock of drinks but is a bit soulless. The rooms are pretty small and the bath is tiny, but given I was only staying for a night and needed somewhere to sleep and clean... More

First of all let me point out that we only booked this hotel because of the special offer Ramada had been advertising in the press. So for £20 per night, how can you complain? We didn't eat in the hotel either so can't comment on the food but as far the room was concerned, clean and comfortable. Location was ideal... More

Not quite what to expect after all the reviews! First the location - easy to find and plenty of parking but 20 minutes walk out of town. However it is a pleasant walk on a path through fields and the delightful Abbey gardens so if the weather is good as it was for us, you can walk to town to... More

Dera guest, Thank you for your review. I am pleased to read that the negative views of other guests did not put you off visiting the hotel. We are aware the hotel requires a 'lift' in certain areas. We are continuously working to improve our facilties where we are able to. Regards Adam Brough More

We had a good experience booking in pleasant young lady on the reception desk went to the first room only to... More

This hotel is ideally located if you don't mind the busy road and within easy walking distance of the town centre. However, I must agree with many of the other reviewers who have said how dirty it is. It is one thing to be dated (which is reflected in the room rates), but that is no excuse for the lack... More

As a lot of the reviews before mentioned this hotel is a little 'dated'. I travel 80% of my year and so far I have never been to a more unusual hotel as this one. The rooms are ok but almost stereotypical with the standard 1980's Corby Trouser Press on show. The building itself needs some updating, even down to... More

Please note: I do not believe i am a snob when booking holidays and trips away. I paid £100 for two nights B&B in this hotel for two people. If you have low expectations or it was cheap then fair enough, but i have stayed in £20pp party hotels for stag and hen nights with better hygiene than this place.... More

A fairly standard chain hotel situated close to the ring road and not to far from the town . We experienced an average reception and a mixed bag for the evening meal with most items not being available. This we discovered only when we tried to order which was a bit late as we had already got our drinks. The... More
