I have stayed in many travelodges and never been disppointed as although they arent great they are usually of a good standard. This place is a disgrace! I wouldnt even know where to start reviewing this hotel. Behind my bedside cabinet there was a pack of dog chews and half a bag of chocolate eclairs. Holes in the net curtains,... More

Stayed in the travel lodge at the silver link as its very hand for a meeting with work. Booked two night but checked out after one , by the 2nd night I made the decision that it was so bad that I would rather drive 3hours to go home and back instead of a 5 minute journey. The room was... More

We have stayed here regularly over the past 2 years, usually for several nights at a time. We stayed this week for 6 nights, after having had contact with head office over an issue we raised on the Facebook page. We had requested a specific room, but were told when we telephoned before leaving that we couldn't have that room,... More

Booked Hotel family room for only £19 (room only promotional rate). It is one of the best travelodges I have visited. Staff are friendly and always helpful. The hotel was clean. The only downside and I have found this at all of the Travelodges is the lack of bedding, pillows and towels in family rooms. Every day you have to... More

Wow what a find, a good basic cheap no frills hotel at a price to satisfy anyone ( £32 room only). We had planed an evening away to see a local band in North Shields, it being Easter week-end the prices locally where through through roof, as they had hiked the prices up for the holiday weekend. At scan through... More

Last minute booking over Easter Bank Holiday. My cousin her husband and Grandson from Portugal going to Axminster Somerset. I had bad experience with Travelodge in the past but this one could do enough to help us, try to book online but would not let me because the extra bed for the little one so telephone the hotel and spoke... Basic clean comfortable accomodation. For the price I cannot fault it in anyway. Staff polite and food although pretty basic was tasty enough and cheap. Tea and coffe making facilities in the room plus extra sachets of coffee, tea bags and milk on the desk at reception. As it says it is a budget hotel so don't expect the Ritz.... More

I booked this for a brief overnight work trip in the direct area. The rooms were VERY basic, even for a Travelodge, My collegue did not even have loo roll in her room! We booked the BB & dinner deal, which for an extra £9.95 you could not complain about and was actually quite tasty. The staff were either in... More

Used this place as a convenient overnight stopover for Theatre visit to Newcastle. Good sized room but rooms appeared had a drab tired feel to them, Small wall heater struggled to maintain a decent temperature, Heated towel rail was disconnected from power, quite a few bulbs out. Bed was well overdue for replacement. This place served its purpose at a... More
