Stayed with a group of 24 guys and as title says you get what you pay for. It's a basic hotel and suitable more for large parties rather than families. In fairness the rooms are clean, if a bit worn, and had breakfast one day and it was fine. The service was very good and staff were polite considering they... More

Stayed here as part of a group of 20 and found the place to be generally acceptable. Great situation for the football, shopping and nightlife. Staff were good but at times seemed overwhelmed especially in the reception area. Used the self serve "check in" in desperation but even this gave up the ghost! Needed extra bedding as there was not... More

The quality of the breakfast was very poor, and upon my return I discovered my legs were covered in beg bug bites therefore I can only assume the cleanliness of the beds is equally poor. I shall not be staying at this hotel again, I shall not recommend it to anyone, and I am seriously considering reporting it to the... More

I stayed at the Newcastle Central Travelodge as part of Stag Weekend with a few of my friends. The hotel is situated very close to the river front and is a very short walk from the main pubs and clubs in the centre of Newcastle. Its a great base if you are on a stag or hen weekend and the... More

Hotel really does need a complete refurb --- worn dirty carpets, damaged woodwork/shelving desks in rooms, worn upholstery on sofa beds/chairs. All linen and towels were white and clean. Room tidy but an amazing amount of dust on lampshades and on top of radiators - surely this doesn't take much to clean!!!! Reception staff helpful and breakfast plentiful. Great as... More

It's not plush but it's was fine. I'd stay again with the prices they charge. It was quiet and rooms a good size. The customer service was somewhat lacking when I asked for batteries to go in the TV remote that were missing. I had to manually control it for the rest of the stay but not a huge problem.... More

it was ideal location to the quayside, plenty places to eat n drink near by. the lack of pillows or ability to supply you with more than one pillow was terrible. it was one of those kind of pillows when u place ur head on it the air deflates immediatley when asking the staff for another pillow they were less... Room was on LG, which involved negotiating a maze of corridors, and was tatty, cold, and uninviting. The bed was lumpy and uncomfortable and the shower barely more than a lukewarm dribble. Reception advised we could only have 1 key, although if we lost it on our night out they would gladly issue another, which made no sense! Great for... More

I stayed here with 10 other blokes on a stag doo, 96 quid per room. It was ideal for somewhere to kip. The rooms are usually cheaper but Newcastle had a big game on so prices were up. I wouldn't recommend for a family venue due to the fact it is full of parties. We were short of towels, but... More
