Stayed one night, easy parking next to the Hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and a good standard for the price. This provides good access to the city centre, I would definitely stay again. Easy walk to the shops, bars and restaurants. More

Stayed here for just one night when we attended a gig at the nearby O2 Academy. We arrived early in order to queue at the venue and were pleasantly suprised when we were allowed to check in to our room early, the rrom was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed. All the staff we encountered were polite and very... More

we stayed her for one night in nov 2011 , the hotel is located on a very busy road and as you would expect this brings with it a lot of road noise , we had a room at the back and still had a lot of noise but thats not the hotels fault ! apart from that the hotel... More

A group of us attended a Stag Weekend and stayed at this hotel. From the minute we arrived nothing was too much trouble, great to get a warm welcome. All the staff went out their way to offer advice on places around the city centre and which bars and clubs were ideal. The rooms were good for a weekend, okay... More

My conclusion after visiting this 'hotel' is that I would not be at all surprised if they are looking for a way to do away with beds if they could cut costs by doing so. Maybe expect a bed that folds into the wall in the future, so that the rooms can be narrower, so more can be squeezed onto... More

We stayed in the hotel for 6 nights. However, I was billed an extra night's charge in my following month's credit card. I wrote in to enquire and the reply was - "The reason you were charged for an extra night stay is because we had to put your room out of order for the night of the 7th as... More

Dear Trip advisor Reviewer Sorry you feel nobody has replied, the only email we appear to have received is the one we have replied to which states what your charge is for. Smoking in the hotel carries a £100 charge, all rooms are thoroughly checked by our housekeeping team and any issues are then witnessed by another team member to verify.... More

We stayed at the hotel for a Hen Weekend. Most of the staff were very helpful friendly & always keen to offer any help or assistance. We had a great time in newcastle and most of this was down to the staff in the hotel, especially our new friend Chris :). We have no doubts that when we return to... More

The staff really make this hotel. They were very friendly - nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely helpful. We stayed in a twin room which was a bit cramped. I would have preferred something a bit bigger. Storage was limited and open plan. Some drawers would have been good. I liked having a choice of pillows. Our... More

I was glad that we had only booked one night at the Holiday Inn Express Newcastle City Centre, purely because of the noise. Our room faced the side street but was incredibly noisy and all you could hear was siren after siren. The room 'did the job' apart from the noise and the staff were friendly. We had no problems... I stayed here when I was on business. It is right in the centre of Newcastle and it is only a 10min walk to the shops, train station, ST Jame's Park and restaurants. The reception staff were lovely, helpful and can deal with the queries efficiently. Breakfast was included and lovely with newspaper provided. The rooms are a sufficient size,... More
