Good place to stay if you want to go out in Newcastle. Very close to the train station and very close to all the main bars and clubs. The receptionists are nice and very helpful with everything. The hostel was nice, they had a nice lounge and the rooms were a good size with comfortable beds am you do have to turn the heat on in the room when you get in it. They offered to store my stuff the day I left. They have free wifi, but only in the lounge, and not in the rooms.... More

I was happy to stumble across this big and comfortable hostel during a brief stay in Newcastle. It was very clean, the staff were super friendly and accommodating, and the other guests were respectful. The rooms, WC and showers were all in good condition. Definitely would suggest this to others!

I have stayed in the 'Backpackers' many times and I have still to find a fault with this hostel. Its cheap, clean and in a magnificent location.
