we stayed overnight on 13th April 2013. The site was in a lovely spot and the wardens were friendly and helpful, explaining the facilities (including the legendary 99p cooked breakfast) and transport (the river taxi is a must and runs every 30 mins from the site into town). Like everyone else I thought the rules were overwhelming. No taxis allowed on site due to health and safety...............health and safety?? This one from the local police for goodness sake. They make a big deal of the 99p breakfast however the cafe is a caravan and when busy the fried food smell is overwhelming and guess what lots of rules... More

It's a nice site with friendly staff and a lovely £0.99p breakie. However they shouldn't be charging an extra £10 at the moment for the river view pitches because there's a construction site next to you and noise all day. Not worth it. Huge construction going on with diggers running around the site. Boilers broken and miserable staff playing with acid trying to clean things in the hand basins! Quite dangerous!!! Not a holiday environment for peace and tranquility at the moment. Sure it has potential though Wouldn't recommend at the moment.

Stayed here for a couple of nights in our motorhome. Not overwhelmed. Location for Stratford very convenient, yes. Lovely water taxi available to take you into Stratford, yes. However only 2 per hour and only 7 persons per taxi so quite a lot of waiting/queing required at peak times. One toilet block for whole site. 6 showers in the ladies.... More

We stayed here in one of the Hoseason lodges (2 bedroomed) and I can find little to complain about. The double room had a bathroom with shower and the twin room had a shower cubicle both also with WC and there was also a separate WC in the hallway.
