We have stayed here before and would recommend it! The owners are lovely as are the rooms and the breakfasts! B & B has a small car park and is near to the town etc. More

I have been visiting Stratford for many years and always stayed at the Melita. This is a lovely hotel and ideal for the theatres. Always had the same room which is a nice single en-suite (room 5). Lovely breakfast. Patricia and Russell always do everything they can to ensure you have a great time from showing me how to get... More

We stayed for one night at the melita. We were highly delighted when we arrived and realised it was across the road from the Alveston manor where we were attending a wedding reception. We were greeted by the owner on our arrival and shown to our room. We booked the small double which was completely adequate, great value for money... More

This is the 3rd or 4th time we've stayed at the Melita. The location is fantastic for the RSC. It was extremely cold when we visited (snow was still on the ground from the weekend and more was forecast) but there was an extra heater in our room which was already on when we arrived (we had a room at... This is a fantastic little hotel. Arrived to find plenty of parking and recieved a warm welcome from a member of staff. Our room was small but perfectly formed (we did book the small double!) with all the facilities one would expect. Suprised to see that some reviews say the rooms were could as ours was lovely and warm and... More

We were in room 2 at the front of the house, its quite an outdated room and because of the draughty windows the room failed to get warm. When we checked out the landlady said extra heaters were available, but surely we could have been told this when we checked in? - not when we were leaving. Brilliant location for... More

We are very sorry that you were cold. Please, please tell us at the time so that we can do something about it. We do not offer heaters to every one on arrival as the heating is usually sufficient and many guests say they are too warm. We are sorry that you think the room to be outdated as it... More

First best bits, location for RSC is superb. Bad bits, freezing cold room, (at front of hotel) with thin duvet and heating that was woefully inadequate. We had to go out to get warm! When we raised the room temperature when leaving we were told heaters are available, but why are these not in the rooms? Who asks for heaters... More

First the good bits. Thankyou for acknowledging our superb location, we are a 5 - 10 min walk from the Theatres and town centre. Now the bad bits. We honestly do not know what you mean by your doily heaven comment. We use 1 doily under fruit salad dish and no others. We do try and give our breakfast room... More

Yes we are still here after 24 years, It was lovely to see you again but please don't leave it quite as long next time as we could not guarantee to be still here then. Glad you enjoyed everything and thankyou for your review and showing us your Melita pictures from 24 years ago. Strange i haven't aged at all. More

Stayed for one night as I was seeing an evening performance at the RSC. The owner was very welcoming and I had been upgraded as they were quiet. My room was immaculate and had everything I could need. The location is great, just a short, attractive walk from the town and theatre. Breakfast was great and set me up for... More

It's very rewarding when a customer says such positive comments about our rooms and breakfasts etc. We really try hard to get things right and your review is very much appreciated. More

My sisters and I recently stayed at Melita and had the family room at the top of the house, which proved to be ideal. Twin basins in the bathroom helped when four of us were doing our makeup. The only negative was that there was some traffic noise from the road, but since we were on a busy road and... More

We are so glad you all enjoyed your stay in our family room. Unfortunately it is on the front of the house and with the window open in hot weather traffic noise may be heard by those sensitive to it. Being so conveniently situated to the town centre and not a country side B&B does sometimes mean traffic may be... More
