Where to start? We arrived and asked to see the room before we paid (They require payment upfront! I've never come across this before. probably so it is harder to get out of your booking and get a refund.) The room was awful! Totally shocking... Dirty rooms x2 ( the first one they put us in and the second room) my poor mother ended up cleaning the tea making tray prior to making a drink... Trying to get a constant water temperature out of the shower was impossible. Turn the tap on in the shower and the water came out boiling. But almost immediatly ran out and then STAYED cold. Stayed here last minute on a Saturday night - check-in efficient and friendly - room very well equipped, tea coffee ironing board trouser press etc. Clean and comfortable - yes a little rough around the edges but spend my working life in major chain hotels so appreciate hotels with character - shower and sink tap temp was a little hard...
