I stayed here purely because of the location - I was out on the beers with a friend who lives in the village. I almost didn't bother because the tariff listed on the web page was £115 for a single and £150 for a double or twin, which I considered way too expensive. However, on actually going through the booking... More

We were visiting friends in the area and decided to stay overnight at the Glebe. Our friends had said it was a nice hotel and indeed it is. We had room 303 which was warm and cosy though not small. The bed was a double rather than a king but very comfortable. Tea and coffee in the room. Froendly service... More

Recently booked last minute break so wasn't expecting much. However from the moment we arrived we were made very welcome and the staff were very friendly and efficient with nothing being too much trouble. Made full use of the facilities which were adequate for our needs. More

.. lovely relaxing time... lovely staff from the minute you arrive and greeted by the smiling Receptionist... food was scrummy and attention to detail with the Valentine hearts in the room to the table settings was brilliant. The pool though small was "big" enough and the steam room and sauna again small did the job. The staff in the restaurant... More

I recently stayed here on business for five nights while attending a trade show at the NEC. This was probably the fourth of fifth time, other stays have been alright, but this time I felt that something had changed, had the hotel changed hands, not sure. A previous reviewer commented on the receptionist peering over the counter, not very welcoming.... More

Booked this hotel for a 70th birthday celebration at end of January. We had a dinner, bed and breakfast deal which was good value for money. Lovely setting and very convenient as only a 5 minute drive from the M40 but still very quiet. Friendly and very helpful staff and our room was really nice with a four poster bed.... More

I continue to use this hotel for business trips as some of the other hotels in the area do not appeal. The staff are courteous & friendly, the food is well prepared, the wine list reasonably priced, the rooms generally comfortable. There is an indoor pool of a fair size. Internet access is not a problem. The property is old... More

From the moment we walked into the reception we were greeted with nothing but friendly and helpful staff. Our weekend stay was booked on a special deal which included dinner bed and breakfast. The food was excellent, good choices, well presented. The catering staff were very helpful, polite and very efficient. The rooms were clean comfortable and well appointed. The... More

We stayed here for a few nights and we were very disappointed with how old fashioned the rooms were. Nothing seemed to have changed since the 80s including the bedding, furniture, fittings, everything! The shower didnt work I think because the water pressure is low. We stay in a lot of small hotels and guesthouses and this one reminded us... More

Stayed here on a Saturday night with a group of my girlfriends. We have stayed before and they look after you really well. Maybe some of the rooms could now do with a bit of a make over, but it's great value for money. The pool and steam room are a bonus. Special thanks to Jane for her help and... More
