This is not a luxury mini break hotel but doesn't market itself as such. For an overnight stop it was ok for the price we paid. Where else can you pay £18 for a family room! The reception- ok, not that pleasant. Lots of laundry in the corridor but think that was just the time we arrived. Family room- cleanish... More

We stayed here for one night on a saturday as my daughter was dancing in a competition on the Sunday in Edgbaston. Little did we know that Crufts was also on that weekend do the carpal was full of vans with dogs that barked all night. That aside, the receptionist was lovely considering we arrived at 11.30pm after a nightmare... More

We stayed here for 2 nights while visiting relatives, our room was warm, clean, comfortable, quiet and suitable for our needs, shower was powerful and refreshing, staff were friendly and helpful, bulb had gone in one the lights plus we needed extra pillows, which was rectified within 5 minutes. Yes, it's not 5 star accommodation, can't see why all the... More

Had a stopover here on the way to a funeral, needs a few more signposts for starters & the room apart from being absolutely filthy it was dropping to bits, this is not a one off either as we had booked two rooms & they was both the same, we came out in the morning to find the police in... More

Awful place, in need of a full revamp and a good clean! Formal complaint made to Travelodge. Bad signposting making finding it difficult, dirty, no locks on inside of the doors, grumpy staff who have not time for the customers, ripped carpet, dirty sheets, need I go on........

I stayed at this travelodge to break a long journey, as it was in the £19 sale. Staff were friendly. The room was large and the heating worked well. It was clean. I was suprised how quiet it was. The shower was lovely - really powerful and hot. There is Marks and Spencers food outlet at the services, as well... More

Poorly signposted in the services. Check in was quick and efficient, we asked for an extra pillow at check in and this was provided straight away with a smile. Unfortunately this was the only smile in the hotel! Bad points: The corridors were dingy, smelt of damp and the lights flickered... The room also smelt of damp. 3 of the... More

Overall I'm impressed, stayed for one night on our way to Salisbury to visit family. So we got there at 19:45 after a long drive to be welcomed and sent straight to our ground floor room which we was very pleased about as we had the little one with us. Room was nice and clean but the bathroom was rather... More

We've used this chain before but this was our first time at Frankley. I booked a family room as a stop over on our way down from Yorkshire to Somerset. We arrived mid evening to find that the room hadn't got the adequate number of sheets, towels etc for our party size. The lady on the desk was very helpful... More
