Stayed twice in May, 1st visit staff reasonably helpful but didn't make you feel as if you were a valued customer, I hate fuss but a little bit more enthusiasm would be nice, 2nd time Spanish lady on reception much more welcoming. Food was great in the evening but breakfast slow , Room nice comfortable but shame about the shower... More

This hotel is bang in the centre of Birmingham and the immediate impression is of a stylish and lively city centre option. The check in experience was friendly and I was impressed with the room. Typical Malmaison style and quality. The room looked into an inner courtyard which I think was a shopping centre so whilst in the middle of... More

Stayed with a group of friends we couldn't fault it from arriving early and all rooms available, friendly staff and immaculate rooms. The breakfast is particularly good with plenty of choice and all cooked to order. Would have got an excellant rating except for lots of problems with the key cards and weak tea! I know its minor but thats... More

Went for a one night stay with my boyfriend, fantastic hotel. Has a lovely bar downstairs which got busy quick so is obviusly popular servving great cocktails. The room was large ( we had two double beds which was really unnecessary!) the bed comfortable, clean and the bathroom/shower very large. The view was of Birmingham so don't expect much! We... More

We enjoyed a great stay at Malmaison. Centrally located hotel, great interior, good ambiance. Lively late night bar. Wonderfully comfortable beds. One thing that struck me as strange was supplying each room (of 2) with only one towel between us. Usually we're afforded the luxury of a towel each. Equally unusual was the supply of a decent amount of conditioner... More

My husband treated me to a night away at the Malmaison for my birthday and we had a fabulous time. I am not ashamed to say that we stayed on one of their recent room rate deals which also included a 2 course dinner with a bottle of wine in the Brasserie. On entrance the hotel decor is fab, all... There's something missing about this hotel; it lacks the personality of other Malmaisons, perhaps because it's not in an old building nor has a spectacular location. But it's somewhere I'd be be happy to stay in again. The room was very spacious, the bed was big, the decor was fine and it was clean. The bathroom was a little ordinary... More

We booked 2 'Double Double' rooms at this property. The Room Sizes were Top Class. Negatives: No Ipod Dock; instead they have a MiniDisk player(!!)....now that is at least 10 years out of date. For a 'boutique' hotel this is unacceptable really, esp as they make a big play about being 'with it' and cater to the younger set of... More

Stayed one night with my daughter as went to see a band. Room a bit bland, bathroom very basic with a leaky tap, no dressing gowns provided. Awful view, crisps on floor next to bedside cabinet not spotted by cleaner left by previous guest. Ate in restaurant, reasonably priced but whilst my daughter enjoyed her meal I didn't. asked for... Love the brand, love this hotel. Why would anyone want to stay in the Jury's Inn when this lush, same priced alternative is only an extra 5 minutes walk away, down the canal?! The spa is ideal for recovery post exhibition centre, in preparation for the evening's social opportunities! The staff also said they really happy to be working there;... More
