As ever with this chain the rooms are consistently good and the beds comfortable. This one does have smallish rooms without armchairs or sofa but that is usual for their city centre locations. The rooms have acoustic double glazing which is needed as the geese on the canal outside our window are very vocal! Again as is standard, there is... More

My boyfriend and I stayed for a night out in Birmingham. Got it last minute. Bit more expensive than I thought but as we were taking 2 cars and parking was free I couldn't really complain. Room was spacious (for a budget hotel) and the bed was soooo comfy!! Reception were great, I arrived before my boyfriend and I asked... More

Premier Inn Canal side is in a great spot just off Broad Street, very handy for heading to the bars in the evening for the idd sweet sherry. By day the hotel is also convenient for the Shops and Restaurants which make Birmingham such a great place for a weekend visit. Free parking is fabulous as it wil cos you... More

We stayed here on a Saturday night after meeting friends for a meal in Birmingham. The room was clean and well equiped and the bed was very comfortable. It was nice to have a bath in the room too. The free car park was a big bonus. We arrived at about 6.30pm on a Saturday night and still found a... More

Great location - turn right out of the hotel and you are minutes walk from the Mailbox, modern and sophisticated with quite an aray of bars and restaurants. Turn left and a minutes walk will take you on to the slightly cheesy (in a good way) Broad Street, with Brindley place close by for a bit more class packed with... More

We stayed here for a night out in Birmingham the parking was great we got their early as we had heard that the car park fills up really quickly as it is free and got a space no problem. We headed out to the mailbox and stayed around the area. We returned to eat in the restaurant later which was... More

A party of 7 of us stayed over the May Bank Holiday weekend to celebrate my graduation. The hotel is 5 mins walk from the Symphony Hall. The rooms were spotlessly clean with all the usual facilities - tea/coffee, tv, good sized bathroom, extra pillows. The rest of the hotel is very well maintained. A canal runs at the back... More

We stayed for 3 nights whilst attending a weekend convention at the Copthorne (which we didn't like the look of as a hotel). The car park is free but small, we were glad that we arrived on the Friday afternoon and managed to snag a space for the whole weekend. Staff very friendly and helpful. Location is great for everything;... More

Good location for a visit to Birmingham with the advantage of on site parking. Generally the usual standard for a Premier Inn and we booked early so it was good value for money, not so good if you had paid the top price as this Premier Inn has the least effective sound insulation of any we have ever stayed in. We had a one night stay hear to coincide with a show at the symphony hall which is only a short walk away.As this was our first stay in a "budget hotel" we were unsure what to expect, but were very pleasantly surprised. After leaving the car in the free secure car park we went and checked in half expecting to find...
