This has now been taken over by new management, and the name has been changed, the address is still the same...20 WAKE GREEN ROAD.. We stayed there for 1 night in January 2012. I couldn't get out of there quick enough to say the least. The owners only care about the resturant customers and not the paying guests who stay... More

The rooms are grotty, the TV did not work, no WI FI, poor breakfast, no carpets in the bedrooms, looks 4* from outside! Inside it really is 1* The whole tap turned round, the bath panel was hanging off, the room smelt and was filthy, I did not sleep a wink on the cheap creaky bed! More

My stay at this hotel was a nightmare, drunk guests shouting and screaming all night, didnt get any sleep. Complained to the hotel staff who seemed to take a relaxed attitude towards offending parties, got the impression that these guests were mates of the staff. There was a pile fluff and dust under the bed. Botched maintenance of holes and... More

Awful!! The photo displayed of the front of the property looks NOTHING like it does now - we didn't even realise we'd pulled up to the right place til the taxi driver started looking at us funny!! We were asked to pay upfront and I can tell you now - had I have seen the room beforehand I wouldn't have... More

Very disappointed. The man who runs the place was extremely pleasant and operated in the multi-purpose role of receptionist, porter and breakfast cook. Unfortunately however, we paid for our two nights before seeing the room and felt unable to walk out as we knew there would be few vacancies at short notice in that area of Birmingham because of the... We were due to stay here for two nights but when we turned up we found that the hotel was in the middle of refurbishment and major works in the back garden were being carried out when receiving hotel guests. It was not possible to stay and, apart from the absolute mess in the back garden and building supplies taking... More

Booked at last limit as reviews seemed fair. However on arrival and on inspection of the room i nearly refused to stay as the decor and standard of cleanliness was appalling. I only stayed because the linen and towels were immaculately clean as they appeared to have been professionally cleanefd. The curtains was hanging from the pelmet and badly stained.... More

My company booked me in at the Wake Green Lodge for a two night stay while on business in Birmingham. The hotel is located in Moseley, a short walk from shops, bars and restaurants. The owner is a lovely man, he let us choose our rooms and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms weren't great though, we were in... More
