Hotel is perfectly situated and is clean and welcoming. Lunch in the conservatory was delicious and the staff very helpful. However as others have mentioned, access to your room is past the toilets which smelt so bad I would not have used them. Even first thing in the morning at breakfast after they had been cleaned. If you have a... More

After two days of walking the New Lipchis Way (Liphook - Midhurst - Chichester) we arrived late on a Saturday afternoon and were shown a comfortable, clean room with coffee making facilities and an en suite shower room. We did not have dinner in the restaurant as we went out for a drink and by the time we returned (about... More

We stayed here at the weekend for a family wedding and it was absolutely perfect! The bedrooms are located at the back of the pub and ours was gorgeous .. very warm and cosy, lovely TV, very comfortable bed, hot shower and beautifully furnished. We had a very good nights sleep and wanted to stay longer! The staff were so... More

Booked to stay here for an evening whilst we were in the area for a friends wedding. We stayed in one of the rooms at the back and found it to be spacious, clean and comfortable. Staff were excellent, helping us to our room upon arrival and even booking a taxi for us in the morning. Breakfast was also really... More

Have been here for a meal before and the service was great - visited again, couldn't find a member of staff, when we did finally get served the meal was below par and they were out of essentials, waiter disappeared and we had to go searching for him - custom is apparently an inconvenience. When I contacted the hotel all... More

Pluses and minuses with this one. First the pluses - great location, excellent and helpful staff, very comfortable bed, warm cosy room, lovely big plasma TV, pleasant pub altogether good breakfast although I felt the decor of the restaurant was a bit tired and needed an uplift. Minuses - the accommodation is at the back of the pub where all... More

Stayed here for number of nights found that the accomodation was very average and indeed it could do with refurbishment as the showers often leaked and the flow of water poor.he beds were average indeed travelodge offers better fayre at lot better prices.

Just back from a fabulous weekend in Chichester. This pub is perfectly located in the centre of town and has clearly been refurb'd in the last couple of years. Excellent quality ensuite rooms in converted barns out in the courtyard. Comfy big bed, warm, big flat screen TV, hot shower - everything you need. Staff really helpful and friendly at... More

An old-fashioned town centre pub with an open fireplace and comfortable furniture. A warm and welcoming place with a gentle buzz and really helpful staff. The rooms are in a converted block behind the pub. Although, not large they are very comfortable and well furnished. We did not eat in the evening but the menu had some interesting dishes alongside... More

We stayed here for three nights in October. The staff were very friendly and the room was nice (a little small but clean and with everything you needed). Breakfast was fantastic. The location was great - really handy for the town centre and the walls walk. Overall I would recommend highly.
