We stayed in a double room on the top floor as we had asked for a quiet room ( It was a Friday night and music is played until late downstairs). The bed was actually a king which was a bonus - very comfortable too. The room was very clean as was bedding and towels. It had ample space and... More

Visiting Salisbury with friends and liked the look of this pub for lunch. I'm not always sure about Wetherspoon restaurants, but this was excellent. The pub was busy, as it was a very nice Saturday lunch time. It was the standard Wetherspoon menu,. Our order was quickly taken and arrived very quickly. The staff were friendly and the food was... We stayed on a Thursday and Friday night in June. Our room overlooked the main street and was very noisy from traffic and club music. The windows weren't double glazed. A helpful receptionist helped us to change to a quieter room without demur, but it would have been very unpleasant if there were no other room to move to. The... More

nice room, clean tidy bedroom, free coffee-biscuits-water,clean toilet but only 1 thing let it down - shower head scaled up and held up with tape! Difference between 4 or 5 click rating! Ate downstairs in the wetherspoons pub with good fast service and plenty of choice on the menu.Friendly helpful receptionist.

We have stayed at this hotel several times and have never had a bad experience. It is about 10 mins walk from the station and is close to some lovely pubs, and the shops.you can also walk to the Cathedral from there. It is attached to a Wetherspoons so if you want to have all your meals in there ,it will be... The King's Head is very central and good value compared to other hotels in the area. Plus, it has the advantage of an attached Whetherspoons pub, so you can eat and drink and sleep merrily without having to go out into the night air - and again cheaply! The young team of staff are very friendly and polite - with... More

We stayed at the King's Head for five nights over the Easter Holidays. Before, I had my reservations about staying in 'pub rooms' with our child as I am personally not keen on children being in pubs and we avoid it wherever possible. I needn't have worried as you might never know. The lodge entrance is separate to the general... More

This is the second time I've stayed at this hotel, just like last time, noise was an issue. I stated at the front of the hotel, you may think that Salisbury is a quiet city, you'd be wrong! Shouting till 4am in the morning and then after 5am the utilities lorrys start up and down the street. I know you... More

Went to Kings Head with six friends on a Saturday lunchtime. The place was quite busy but seating wasn't a problem. All ate different things from the menu. The most questionable were the roasts as the meat was reported to be quite tough. However, I had the fish and chips which was very palatable . On a positive note the... More
