Firstly the staff were all friendly and polite. It took a long time to actually book in to the accomodation because one poor overworked member of staff was looking after the bar, taking food orders to the kitchen and showing guests up to their room. “Wouldn't stay again”

Friendly check in, looks nice from outside. The room was like a 80's affair with a desperately old bath room. Nice layer of dust managed to draw a face in it on the table and lamp. I stayed at the Oak on business in June. On arrival I was aked if I wanted to pay for all 3 nights up front or pay day by day. Stupidly I chose up front as I only stayed 2 nights in the end due to a family bereavement. I was told I would not get any kind of refund... More

“Excellent value - food great”

We stayed here for two nights for a relaxing getaway. The room was adequate - not large but comfortable. We could not praise highly enough the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff.
