We arrived at priory mill, the site looked very clean and well set out. It was due to be a wet night and weekend so there where only 6 or 8 tents this weekend. The owners where very pleasant and helpful we could choose to pitch our two tents wherever we wanted. The facilities toilet, showers and wash up area... More

Spent 3 nights over Easter at the site. It was a very cold/icy weekend, about -5 at night, so only about 6 tents in total braving it! The campsite is naturally idyllic - pitch where you like. Susie made us feel so at home and welcome! It is sited adjacent to a road, however you just don't notice - the... More

We stayed 2 nights at Priory Mill and found it perfect for what we needed. The setting is beautiful and although it is near a road that isn't noticeable and the main sounds are the river flowing by and the wildlife surrounding. We used the free fire pits and had a campfire both nights which was much needed at the... More

This campsite is lovely. Quiet, well looked after and natural. I fell asleep listening to an owl hooting nearby. Saw a dipper in the river running through the campsite. The option of evening campfires were an added attraction.

Things that we loved at Priory Mill 1-The fire pit. Camping isn't camping without a fire. 2-Small idealic site-beautiful. 3-The cleanest bathrooms!!! 4- The stars. 5- Moss (the dog) made my children smile. Very chilled and relaxed small site. Great ethos not to over crowd. Well thought through with nice touches. We didn't want to leave. Thank you.

We have just returned from a great 3 night stay here. We were very impressed with the location, right next to the river. We loved the chickens that were free to roam! There was plenty of space to choose where to pitch our tent. A big bonus of this campsite is that they allow camp fires and you can help... More
