Stayed on Wednesday on business, the reception is modern but then it gets worse, threadbare carpets aged paint. Rooms have been partly refurbished, thin walls and floors. My company paid £90 for this room, never again. One good point was breakfast was served from 0430 so i was able to leave before rush hour. More

1st impressions were good. Spacious, modern reception. They're obviously making some improvements to the place. Our bedroom was spotlessly clean but slightly underwhelming. Only basic TV channels, no hairdryer but a reasonable selection of tea/coffee etc. The bathroom has had a real freshen up but why they have retiled but not relsealed round the bath and shower is a mystery.... This hotel is badly in need of complete refurbishment. Poor decor smelly corridors and tatty furniture sets the scene. I hated the whole experience and will never set foot through the doors of the station hotel again. The room was freezing, the heater didn't work, the curtains wouldn't fully close, the windows we're so thin you could hear a car a mile away. I never slept one wink. The bath had stains all over it.
