Very good value for money, very central with good parking, good breakfast, comfortable room and very friendly service. Lovely old building dating from the 18th century - a little dated in places (though very clean) but that is reflected in the rates. Did not like this place at all - arrived to find it covered in scaffolding, awful and very overpriced food, 'ensuite bathroom' was a cupboard with a sliding door and a toilet that didn't flush unless you took the top off the cistern and manually depressed the ballcock - at which point it started a 30 minute refill, builders woke... The hotel was closed in January 2010 when scaffolding was in place. Consequently this review should be treated with caution as the reviwer did not stay at the hotel in January as stated in the review. More
