When we first walked into the Inn it was not what I expected. For some reason I had "carvery" in my head. The Riverside is basically an old style pub trying to cover all the bases (dining area, function room, B&B....). Overall the Riverside looks like it has not been decorated since the early 1980's -- carpet, wall coverings, lighting,... More

We also highly recommend the Steak & Ale pie... the food was good wholesome fayre and served in a friendly & efficient way. There was a party in the bar when we arrived and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Everyone in the restaurant seemed to be enjoying the food and service. This family seemed to be working very hard... More

I was looking for accomodation on Google, and found that this place was having a 60's & 70's Disco on the night that we was looking for. We arrived early and booked ourselves into the restaurant. The food was very nice and the service was excellent. I would recommend the Leek & Potato Soup, and the Steak & Ale Pie.... More
