Stopped over at this hotel last night whilst cycling in the area and I was very impressed all round. My son and I had a huge room with two very comfortable double beds. We didn't dine at the hotel but took a 10 minute stroll into the town centre. Breakfast at the hotel was just about perfect, along with the... More

We were there for a meal for a friends birthday. For a starter I had a cheese soufflé. It was totally flat, and barely warm when it arrived. The plate was swimming in sauce. It didnt taste awful but it wasnt worth the £5.25. My main was balmoral chicken, which I couldn't fault. Decent portion size and I would have... More

Nice hotel, pity about the staff and the overpriced food. No atmosphere, rude staff who only get a job because they all seem to be related..... Awful.. Book the premier inn in Dumfries before this supposed hotel.
