Both my girlfriend and I stayed 3 nights at this hotel and enjoyed every bit of it. When we first decided to go to Scotland in April/May 2012..we had originally planned on staying in Dundee and not the town of Broughty Ferry. It was between this hotel and The Craigtay Hotel, and we made the best decision ever to stay... More

Stopped in for lunch and had very helpful service and above average pub food in an authentic old pub atmosphere. More

Well second time at this hotel, and its still as good as we remember. Rooms are brilliant, giant bed with TV and very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful. As mentioned by others parking can be a problem, but this is the same almost every where in the Ferry :-) just to many car on the roads. Food is fantastic... More

Stayed thursday and friday night. Struck lucky on the thursday night as they have a musicians session and guys come along and play. Excellent evening. Food superb. Had the special of arbroath smokie pie. Chef nailed the dish. Lovely. We had the superior room which was excellent, definitely worth the wee bit extra. no noise from the bar at all.... More

Stayed here after being snowed out of a hotel further north and got a room at the last minute. We were given an executive room at bargain rate because of the sircumstances and had a table booked for very good meal. Friendly staff and good ales made for a great night here. More

The "Fish" is a wonderful, local pub/hotel oozing with character and original features. The satff are great - very friendly and helpful. The only reason I did not give this 5 stars is that the brewery who now own it, Greene King, have decided to try to "modernise" this local jewel. When I was last in, there were those tacky... More

Tired of seeing Americans in the bar after golf. Well none here but great pub with charming people on both sides of the bar. Watch out for parking spaces. Street markings confusing if not a local. Loved it More

We've been going to The Fish for a decade or more, ever since coming across it in an article in a national newspaper about award-winning British pubs. So at the outset it came with quite a reputation to live up to. And I have to say that it has never done anything less than deliver. Let's be clear, though. This... More

Not stayed overnight but been here often for beer and lunch with our dogs. The service is excellent and the choice of beer is also very good. The food used to be outstanding but they appear to recently have changed the menu and it's not nearly as nice as it was. Gone are the sweet potato chips and flatbreads, now... More
