Warm welcome, friendly, very clean, and most importantly: A very quiet place! It's a bit off the center, but just a short bus ride or 20min walk from the city. Breakfast is very rich and also features a menu. I'd definitely stay there again!

This is a lovely property. It's very quiet yet just around the corner is a bus stop that takes you to Edinburgh's Royal Mile. The guest house is clean, comfortable, with nice amenities and is beautifully decorated. It's a fabulous value. Breakfast was delicious and the hosts were very helpful. It was a very enjoyable stay!

Maggie and Billy were wonderful. This is a beautiful Guest House. The breakfast was terrific and the house warm and welcome . It was very, very clean and beautifully appointed. Gil Dun is a wonderful place to stay. The house is located a few seconds walk to a convenient bus. It is on a tiny street with no road noise. Gil Dun is a wonderful guest house. The owners are extremely kind, the room is very comfortable and clean, breakfast is superb and wifi works very well. Everything at Gil Dun shows attention to detail. I strongly recommend it.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would strongly recommend this Guest House to anyone travelling to Edinburgh. The staff are friendly and helpful. Room was spacious, very clean, and outfitted wonderfully. The property brings you close enough to the city centre without all of the noise and clutter.

My second visit. Just as nice as the first. I felt more like I was going back to visit friends than staying in a B&B. These guys give a whole new meaning to hospitality.
