Only went to the hotel for coffee in afternoon, welcoming reception staff showed us to restaurant. We ordered hot choc and latte, waitress was not friendly, no smile or chat . Both drinks arrived and were lukewarm, not hot at all. Hotel looked dated. Not modern or friendly. Would not recommend for drinks. More

Hotel is under renovations but still very nice. All staff were very nice! Beds are a bit hard even in upgraded room with view of castle. Great location for shopping on Princes St but a small hike to Royal Mile. More
