This hotel is in an excellent location, within walking distance to Edinburgh town centre (approx 20 mins) There is also a bus stop directly across the road. Ample parking is available around the back of the property. Staff where very friendly and welcoming, breakfast was nice and we received complimentary sherry and biscuits in our room. Really nice looking building,... More

Thank you so much for your review, I am glad to hear you found us to be in an excellent location. We are located 1.5 miles from the high street and on a sunny day it is a lovely walk in to town or you could get one of the frequent buses from directly across the hotel. We are also... More

I stayed here while on business at the King's Buildings and it was a nice walk to the conference. I stayed in the garden lodge and absolutely loved it. However, my colleagues stayed in the main building and were not nearly as impressed with this hotel. Breakfast was lovely. It is a bit far from downtown, but the bus is... More

We were attending a wedding in Edinburgh and chose the Kildonan Lodge to stay over. What a great choice, really easy to book - spoke to Sean lovely manner who booked for us. On arrival we were given a beautiful 4 poster bedded room - gorgeous, loved the liitle touches in the room, the complimentary sherry and shortbread. Room was... More

Awesome break with my wife at Kildonan Lodge. Greeted by the friendly staff who offered to take out bags up to our room for us which was a nice touch. As my wife sank in to the spa bath I docked my iphone (and it charged :) ) and chilled out on the four poster bed while sipping the complementary... More

We have stayed at the Kildonan Lodge a few times in the past couple of years for short weekend breaks to Edinburgh. The hotel is traditionally furnished to a high standard and the rooms are elegant and comfortable, with nice touches such as DAB radios and complimentary sherry and shortbread to sample. The staff have always been friendly and helpful... More

I stayed here with my partner in August to attend a concert. Unfortunately because the edinburgh festival was on the price was for peak season which I feel was on expensive side. I stayed in Peebles the next night in four star hotel on DBB rate for only £14 more than our B&B rate here. however out with these prices... More

My husband had business in Edinburgh so we took the opportunity to grab a long weekend away. As my husband had driven up during the week I flew up on the Thursday night to meet him. I had chosen Kildonan Lodge for its reviews, closeness to the city centre and the quirkiness of the photos I had seen. We were... More

We stayed there as part of a group for a work related event. Everyone seemed to enjoy the friendly staff, the honesty bar, and the rooms were well maintained. Breakfast was a typical Scottish breakfast, but nicely served. The sitting room was cosy and welcoming, but i'm sure the Hotel Inspector might have suggested a bit of decluttering. For value... More

We selected this B&B because of its proximity to Pollock Halls. The location is fine. The staff is friendly and helpful. We needed a converter and they kindly lent one. We enjoyed the breakfasts but, they were not as nice as many others. As for our room, it was not what we had expected. It was on the 3rd floor... More
