This property fails to reach the standard of a Marriott. We checked into a very small room with a very small bathroom. With temps outside in the 70's the rooms were quite warm. The airconditioning did not work properly and we were switched to another room. The next room was also without airconditioning which meant a third room change. The... More

Stayed here for a family trip and was very impressed in the areas that matter like cleanliness an staff helpfulness. Would be impossible to critise the pool and buffet breakfast. Staff were always friendly, helpful and cheerful, especially the lovely cockney night manager. Only criticism would be the woeful wi-fi. I would expect wi-fi to be free as standard in... More

Located away from the main Edinburgh city area, however therefore is close to the airport / on the way to the airport. Room was tiny and tidy. No issues. Breakfast buffet spread was good - however a strange part I noted was that we were just not ALLOWED to help ourselves at the buffet counters. Only the server could do... More

Stayed with our 3 year old as part of a zoo trip. Have to say the hotel cleanliness, the facilities and especially the staff were excellent. Good easy location with free parling. Good bus routes into town directly outside the hotel. The rooms are a little tired but clean none the less. A good price for Edinburgh, especially when a... More

Out of town location but close enough for business district. Check-in slow, adequate service though. Room was somewhat dated with very limited ventillation and inadequate air conditioning. Food quality was high. Complimentary drinks in lounge was nice but again it was tired. Plus points is free parking and plenty of parking spaces, when you step off a plane late at... More

We spent one night in April at the Marriott on Glasgow Rd. near the Edinburgh Airport, en route to other destinations. (There are several Marriott's in Edinburgh.) The lobby is fairly small, with an adjoining lounge bar where food and drinks are served. The rooms are quite comfortable, with typical large chain business traveler rooms. WIFI incurs a charge. A... The hotel has everything you can expect from a standard Marriot. Nice and clean rooms, extensive breakfast and friendly staff. If you are for a stay in holidays, it is a great place to be. However, if you are planning to go out and about, the location is a bit far off. Although it is well connected to town center... More

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights in April while we explore Edinburgh. The room was clean, well furnished, & had excellent amenties. When we booked our hotel, we had no idea it included a buffet breakfast. so was a nice extra. Staff are warm and friendly. I would recommend this hotel to all and would definitely stay there... More

I have stayed at 2 Marriotts in Edinburgh - The one at Dalmahoy - a really excellent experience, and this Marriott situated between the airport and the downtown. The experience started badly, the taxi driver did not want to take me to the hotel - said you should take a bus! Long wait at checking at the hotel. Got my... More
