Beware any websites that suggest that this is somehow near Edinburgh Airport. This is an incredibly practical, family-oriented hotel but it is 20 minutes by the Shuttle bus 100 (which you pay for) to the airport. The shuttle bus stops directly outside the hotel. The great good fortune of this hotel is that is is right next door (50 yards)... More

Excellent value for families , great breakfasts, can't go wrong, I have two teenagers, who stuffed their faces, a small queue but only to be expected, right next door to zoo and didn't have to pay the £4 to park the car that the zoo charges either, & a free newspaper of your choice, four of us in a room,... Make no mistake, this is hotel accommodation on an industrial scale. Don't go here if you want something with character. The building is a vast concrete monstrosity, like a communist era office block. Breakfast involves a stampede with hordes of tour groups queuing for the buffet bar. The restaurants are distinctly average and if you're planning visiting the city, it... More

We stayed here for a cheap night away whilst we were in Edinburgh for a wedding. Booked through lastminute.com so got a good deal on room only with free parking. The room was fine nit the biggest but adequate. The bathroom was fairly small and the usual stained/mildew around the bath seal and some tile grout but not the worst... More

booked this as the reviews seemed good and was going to visit the pandas at edinburgh zoo and this is right next door to the zoo. We booked a no smoking room (thought all hotels were now no smoking) on entering the room it was obvious that someone had been smoking and the room was really smelly especially the bathroom!!... Nothing to say, which is a good thing. Good value hotel with clean comfortable rooms with decor of a recent standard. Did not use any other facilities. More

I have just returned from a two night stay here. We stayed on 3rd floor king size room ( which appeared to be two single bases and a king mattress.) Double sofa bed for kids had stains on the upper cushions. Tv in room with free tea and coffee. No minibar though! Room is large but bathroom could do with... More

This was a very pleasant hotel to stay in. No place to sit outside though when the sun finally does show. The pool was a nice addition to the amenities. Resturant was quite adequate for food, not many places around to eat though. I will stay here again More

My lasting memory of this hotel will be the smell of cigarette smoke in both lifts and on both the floors I stayed on. It reminded me of a 70's style hotel, someone said it was once a Poste House....It hasn't changed much! Rooms are ok, and breakfast was good with plenty of choice but I would suggest dining out...
