We stayed here for one night in July 2011.
We used Heriott Park Guest House as a base for exploring Edinburgh.
80 pounds for one night of accommodation and breakfast.
Didn't really see much of the staff. The room was similar to a motel - clean but dated. Small bathroom - there's a bidet in there as well if you...

Should probably have looked at this site before booking, there was very little interaction with the owners other than to give us the keys and take them off us when we left, though the lady who served breakfast was friendly and efficient.
It has to be the smallest bedroom I've ever slept in and the en suite was very small,...

The owner only spoke to us to hand us our keys on arrival telling repeatedly that the place is non smoking despite being told repeatedly that my friend and I were both non smokers, and then again to take our keys off of us on leaving.
The bed and pillows were of shockingly poor quality. Would have been more comfortable...

We stayed in this hotel during the August bank holiday weekend. The hotel is located about 40 mins walk from the Waverly train station. It's well connected with the town centre by local busses. The rooms are very spacious. Bathroom is small but big enough for a short stay. The level of cleanliness was quite poor. There was mould on...

The day begins with a freshly prepared breakfast, served by the ladies that keep the guest house in order. They are cheerful as they swiftly move about, pausing only to ensure every guest has what they need to get their day started. There is so much to see in Edinburgh, my days were filled with excursions to the Edinburgh Castle,...

We arrived at the guest house and were disappointed with the size of our room, you could just about walk around the beds. The ensuite was dated with a 3 part sliding door on the shower, well I think it used too slide now it had to be lifted and coaxed into position. We had half a roll of toilet...

We stayed here as the cheapest late-availability option we could find for the Edinburgh festival. Apparently it is walkable to the center, but we never needed to find out as the buses are excellent. One Bus stop (23 bus) very close, and another a couple of minutes further away which is on the same bus route (23) plus also on...

We stayed at Merriot on a three day break in edinburgh for the fringe festival. We found it in an ideal postion for traveling and the buses were excellant.Although it was a good stay the hospitality was informal and rushed. We thought the decor needed updating as there was wallpaper was coming off and the toilet seat needed replacing because...

When we arrived at the guest house we were greeted by a man in the office under the stairs. We guessed that this must be the owner and were shown around the guest house and left to carry our bags from the car parked across the road to our room.
The room quite small with just enough room to walk...
