Well informed and kindly hostess and plenty of local places to eat out. A 15 minute walk or short bus ride to the centre of Edinburgh. Good breakfast.

I can't understand the comments of the 'unsettled' visitor. This is the most beautiful family home in a lovely area, and the ethos is that guests are invited to share it. I was surprised that although a B&B in a private house, there were no locks on the room doors, a little unsettling for a female travelling alone.
